1. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

The movie's plot revolves around Jack Skellington, who is known as the pumpkin king of Halloweentown. Jack is tired of the same old pattern of scaring people out in the "real world," so he sets off on a series of mishaps. 

Jack's existence is given a new lease on life when he stumbles onto Christmastown by mistake. Christmastown is full of brilliant colors and warm spirits, and Jack is inspired to devise a plan to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and assuming the role himself. But Jack quickly learns that even the mice and skeleton men's best-laid plots may go wrong.

2. The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

A young man named Francis, currently engaged to a woman named Jane, is thinking back on the terrible ordeals he and his fiancee had recently been through. The town of Holstenwall is now hosting its yearly fair. 

Francis and his friend Alan go to see an exhibit called "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari," in which a mystery doctor reveals himself to the somnambulist Cesare and briefly rouses him from his deathlike sleep. Cesare's response to Alan's inquiry regarding his future is that he will pass away in the wee hours of the morning. 

Alan's body was discovered unresponsive the following morning. Francis has a hunch that Cesare is the one who committed the murder, so he begins to keep an eye on both Cesare and Dr. Caligari. The following evening, Cesare intends to murder Jane by stabbing her in her bed; however, after seeing the stunning woman, he changes his mind and decides to kidnap her instead of executing another murder. 

The noise wakes canJane's father, who, along with a few of the staff, decides to chase after Cesare as he runs away. When Cesare realizes that he can no longer elude his pursuers, he carefully sets Jane down on the ground and then makes his escape. Francis and the police examine Dr. Caligari's caravan, but the doctor can evade capture and flee. 

Francis gives chase to the evading Dr. Caligari and watches as the latter enters a mental institution. Francis decides to investigate the madhomental hospital use, sure that he will discover the answers he seeks there concerning all of these unexplained occurrences.

3. Nosferatu (1922)

Since Count Orlok wishes to buy a small home in Wisbourg, Germany, real estate agent Knock of Wisbourg, Germany, sends his associate Hutter to the castle that the count resides in, which is located in Transylvania. 

They intend to sell him the house directlydirectthe street from Hutter's residence. Ellen, Hutter's naive wife, spends the time that Hutter is gone with some of their mutual acquaintances. Hutter's journey is a peculiar one because many of the townspeople do not want to accompany him near the castle because of the bizarre occurrences that have been taking place there. 

Once Hutter arrives at the court, he is successful in selling the house to the Count; however, he also observes and experiences odd happenings, the most prominent of which is the sensation that a dark shadow is looming over him, even during the daytime while the Count is sleeping abnormally. 

Hutter eventually comes across the sleeping chamber of the Count, which is located in a crypt. Based on a book he has just finished reading, Hutter is convinced that the Count is a vampire or a Nosferatu. The Count escapes from the castle while Hutter is imprisoned by traveling to Wisbourg on a train of coffins, killing people along the way and having the plague blamed on him. 

Hutter makes an effort to get home as quickly as possible to protect his community and, more crucially, Ellen from the impending arrival of Nosferatu. As Nosferatu draws nearer, Ellen in Wisbourg can sense the growing darkness on the horizon. However, she finds out that an innocent lady can offer herself up as a sacrifice to slay the vampire. What happens if Ellen sacrifices herself to stop Nosferatu? Can Hutter save her?

4. Frankenstein (1931)

This classic horror movie tells the story of Dr. Henry Frankenstein, a scientist who becomes obsessed with the idea of creating life by piecing together a creature from the body parts of the dead. 

Frankenstein can bring his monster to life with the assistance of his devoted and disfigured assistant, Fritz; however, as the beast runs away into the countryside, it begins wreaking havoc there. 

Frankenstein embarks on a mission to find the enigmatic being, and in the end, he is forced to face his troubled creation.

5. The Wolfman (1941)

Following the passing of his brother, Larry Talbot travels from the United States to his family's home in Wales. He takes a country girl named Jenny Williams to a gypsy camp, where Jenny is assaulted by Bela, a gypsy who has been transformed into a werewolf. 

Larry can slay the werewolf, but he gets bit in the fight. Because of this, Bela's mother warns him that he will inevitably transform into a werewolf whenever the moon is full. 

When Larry tells his predicament to his father, Sir John, who does not believe him, Sir. John immediately joins the other villagers in their search for the wolf. Having been altered by the full moon, Larry travels to the forest, hoping to have a chance encounter with Sir John and Gwen Conliffe.

6. Dracula (1931)

Renfield enters castle Dracula after a perilous journey across the Carpathian mountains in eastern Europe. His mission is to finalize the transfer of Carfax Abbey in London to Count Dracula, a vampire. Carfax Abbey is located in the city of London. 

The creepily hypnotic count gives Renfield a drug, then transforms into one of the count's thralls. Renfield's new role is to protect the count while he is traveling by ship to London. After sucking the blood and turning the young Lucy Weston into a vampire, Dracula turns his attention to her friend Mina Seward, who is the daughter of Dr. Seward. Dr. Seward then calls in a specialist, Dr. Van Helsing, to diagnose the sudden deterioration in Mina's health. 

Lucy Weston becomes a vampire. After concluding that Dracula is, in fact, a vampire, Van Helsing makes an effort to brief Mina's fiance, John Harker, as well as Dr. Seward on what is to come and the precautions that will need to be taken to protect Mina from joining the ranks of the undead.

7. The Phantom of the Opera (1925)

Mary Philbin stars as Christine Daaé, an ambitious young opera singer who learns that she has a secret admirer who is determined to assist her in becoming a lead performer in this classic horror film that was made in the silent era. 

Erik, also known as the Phantom (Lon Chaney), is the identity of this mysterious masked presence. Erik is a severely scarred recluse who lives underneath the Paris Opera House. 

Chaney played the role of the Phantom. When the Phantom kidnaps Christine and demands her love and adoration, her admirer, Vicomte Raoul de Chagny, played by Norman Kerry, goes on a mission to save her.

8. The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1923)

When Esmeralda was still a child, Clopin purchased her from a group of gypsies. Jehan sees Esmeralda, the infamous login coerces Esmeralda, brother of the righteous archdeacon Claude Frollo, as she is dancing in the public plaza during the festival. 

Phoebus, the Captain of the Guards, comes to Esmeralda's rescue when Quasimodo is sent out to kidnap her. Phoebus then takes Quasimodo into custody. The judge decides that Quasimodo should be flogged, and Esmeralda is the only person who will offer him water while he is tied in the square awaiting his punishment. 

After Clopin coerces Esmeralda into leaving Phoebus at the ball, she writes a note asking him to meet her at Notre Dammessagee and gives him the message. Phoebus suffers a stab wound to the back at the hands of Jehan in the garden. The courts have found Esmeralda guilty of the charge of stabbing Phoebus and have sentenced her to death by hanging. 

When Esmeralda rejects Jehan, he lies to her and says that Phoebus has passed away, even though this is not the case. Clopin, Phoebus, and Quasimodo each attempt to save Esmeralda in their unique ways.

9. The Invisible Man (1933)

A mystery individual with his entire head wrapped in bandages has expressed interest in renting a room. The bar owners are not accustomed to turning their home into an inn during the colder months of the year, yet, the man demands that they do so. 

They quickly begin to lament the choice that they made. The man spends his money swiftly and has a solid temper to boot; the two go hand in hand. The situation is worse because he appears to be some pleadschemist and has crammed his room with nasty chemicals, test tubes, beakers, and other items. They make a horrifying discovery as they attempt to kick him out of the house. 

In the meantime, Flora Cranley pleads with her father to investigate the unexplained disappearance of Dr. Griffin, his assistant, and Flora's sweetheart, Dr. Griffin. Griffin was Dr. Cranley's assistant. The timid Dr. Kemp, the other assistant working for her father, is of no assistance. 

He desires to have her all to himself. Flora has no idea that the strange reports circulating in the media and on the radio about an invisible homicidal maniac are stories about Dr. Griffin himself. He has discovered the secret of invisibility but has gone mad due to his discovery.

10. Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)

An unknown animal's bones have been discovered in the depths of a distant jungle. A team of researchers has set out to investigate if the find represents an aberration or the remains of a previously unknown species. 

To achieve their objective, the researchers (Antonio Moreno, Richard Carlson, Richard Denning, and Whit Bissell) will have to risk their lives in some of the most dangerous regions South America offers. 

But the threat posed by an alien monster, which jeopardizes their jobs and lives, is on a far different level than anything the terrain can throw at them.
